Vivian Chan is a Berlin and Vancouver-based artist and art mediator, who uses participatory art as a tool to create spaces that encourage dialogue and sharing between people. She received her BFA from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Canada, and her MFA from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work has been exhibited in various institutions throughout Canada, Europe and North Africa.

Through interactive installations, happenings, and workshops, Vivian creates platforms, which question our learned concepts and values, based on our different personal experiences, memories, cultural and social backgrounds.

Her current interests lie in the exploration of interdisciplinary and non-conventional approaches to (un)learning and exploring how play and playfulness can be used as methods of knowledge production and transfer.
